This beanie was made with the same pattern as the cable crochet one from my previous blog. I just switched colors on and off. It came out pretty good. Enjoy!
This was my first knit project. It came out pretty good for my first time, if I do say so myself. I used Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight medium 4 yarn(ART. E300 color 0310 Monet) on size 8 (5.00mm) knitting needles. I think I saw a pattern somewhere online but I cant remember the website. CO 24 Row 1: Knit Row 2: Knit Row 3: *K2, P2* Repeat to end of row ending with P2 Row 4: *P2, K2* Repeat to end of row ending with K2 Row 5: *K2, P2* Repeat to end of row ending with P2 Row 6 & 7: Knit Repeat rows 3-7 or this pattern till you get to your desired length and cast off on Knit row. To add fringe, I wrapped the yarn around a DVD case and cut it. Then used an H size crochet hook to pull through the loops on both ends of the scarf.
Free Pattern: Size 7 Circular knitting needles 1 set of 4 double pointed needles size 7 I used Bernat baby coordinates in white, light yellow and baby blue One stich marker and large eyed needle to sew in loose ends Holding 2 strands together, CO 100 stitches and join being careful not to twist your stitches. R1: *K23, K2TOG* Repeat to end of round. R2: *K22, K2TOG* Repeat to end of round. R3: *K21, K2TOG* Repeat to end of round. R4: *K20, K2TOG* Repeat to end of round. R5: *K19, K2TOG* Repeat to end of round. R6: *K18, K2TOG* Repeat to end of round. Keep following this same pattern, decreasing by 4 each round, till you have 12 stitches left on your needles. Using your large eyed sewing needle, carefully pull the remaining 12 stiches off your needles and onto the sewing needle and pull tight to cinch closed. ...
