Ethan's Newborn Beanie

I made this little hat for my sister's baby boy Ethan. It came out pretty small so it will probably only fit a new born. If you want it to be a little bigger you just have to add an extra increase row in the beginning.
This pattern is worked in rounds.
Ch3's are counted at 1 dc

Supplies:
Size H8 5.00 mm
Baby weight yarn
Your own two hands ;)

Pattern:
Ch 4 and join with sl st to form ring.
Round 1: ch3 work 7 dc in ring. Join with a sl st to top of ch3 (8dc)
Round 2: ch3, 1dc in same sp as ch3, 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of ch3 (16dc)
Round 3: ch3, 1dc in same sp as ch3, *1dc in next st, 2dc in next st* Repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st in the top of ch3. (24dc)
Round 4: ch3, 1dc in same sp as ch3, *1dc in next 2 sp's, 2dc in next sp* Repeat from * to * around. Join w/ sl st in the top of ch3. (32dc)
Round 5: ch3, 1dc in same sp as ch3, *1dc in next 3 sp's, 2dc in next sp* Repeat from * to* around. Join w/ sl st in top of ch3. (40dc)
Round 6-12: ch3, 1dc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of ch3.
Round 13: ch1 sc in each st around. Bind off and weave in ends.
