Custom Crochet Pencil Scarf - Teacher Favorite!

This pattern was created as a personal request from one of my friends. She and I have been friends since Elementary School and now she teaches Elementary School. She asked if I could make her 2 scarves for her and one of her colleagues that looked like a pencil. I thought to myself, this ones going to be fun to create! So, over the next few days, I sat down with my crochet hook and my yarn, and started to create this amazingly cute idea for a pencil scarf. I love the way it came out and so does my beautiful friend. She gave the 2nd one as a gift and the other teacher loved it as well. I've posted this one for sale in my Etsy shop for only $2.99. The link to my shop is below. Cute Knit Scarf

This was my first knit project. It came out pretty good for my first time, if I do say so myself. I used Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight medium 4 yarn(ART. E300 color 0310 Monet) on size 8 (5.00mm) knitting needles. I think I saw a pattern somewhere online but I cant remember the website. CO 24 Row 1: Knit Row 2: Knit Row 3: *K2, P2* Repeat to end of row ending with P2 Row 4: *P2, K2* Repeat to end of row ending with K2 Row 5: *K2, P2* Repeat to end of row ending with P2 Row 6 & 7: Knit Repeat rows 3-7 or this pattern till you get to your desired length and cast off on Knit row. To add fringe, I wrapped the yarn around a DVD case and cut it. Then used an H size crochet hook to pull through the loops on both ends of the scarf.
