Image
This beanie was made with the same pattern as the cable crochet one from my previous blog. I just switched colors on and off. It came out pretty good. Enjoy!

Free Crochet Pattern: Pretty Shaw/Scarf

Image
This simple shawl or scarf was created for a friend of mine and the design is very easy to follow. First, I used Caron Simply Soft in Garnet and H8 5.00mm crochet hook. R1: Ch4 Hdc in first ch to form ring, turn. R2: Ch4 (counts as hdc ch2); hdc in ring, ch2, hdc in ring, turn. R3: Ch4 Hdc in first ch2 sp, ch2, hdc in next ch2 sp, ch2, hdc in 2nd ch of beginning ch4, turn. R4: Ch4 *hdc in ch2 sp, ch2* repeat to end of row, hdc in 2nd ch of beginning ch4, turn. Repeat row 4 till you reach your desired length and width, bind off and weave in your ends. Voila!!! You have your basic shawl or scarf. For the fringe, I wrapped the yarn around a DVD case and cut along the top to make the pieces. Then I used 2 lengths of yarn for each space along the sides of the shawl. I love this piece because it is simple and very fast to make. It also makes a great gift for anyone who needs a little lift.

Ethan's Newborn Beanie

I made this little hat for my sister's baby boy Ethan. It came out pretty small so it will probably only fit a new born. If you want it to be a little bigger you just have to add an extra increase row in the beginning. This pattern is worked in rounds. Ch3's are counted at 1 dc Supplies: Size H8 5.00 mm Baby weight yarn Your own two hands ;) Pattern: Ch 4 and join with sl st to form ring. Round 1: ch3 work 7 dc in ring. Join with a sl st to top of ch3 (8dc) Round 2: ch3, 1dc in same sp as ch3, 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of ch3 (16dc) Round 3: ch3, 1dc in same sp as ch3, *1dc in next st, 2dc in next st* Repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st in the top of ch3. (24dc) Round 4: ch3, 1dc in same sp as ch3, *1dc in next 2 sp's , 2dc in next sp * Repeat from * to * around. Join w/ sl st in the top of ch3. (32dc) Round 5: ch3, 1dc in same sp as ch3, *1dc in next 3 sp's , 2dc in next sp * Repeat from * to* around. Join w/ sl...

Cute Knit Scarf

Image
This was my first knit project. It came out pretty good for my first time, if I do say so myself. I used Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight medium 4 yarn(ART. E300 color 0310 Monet) on size 8 (5.00mm) knitting needles. I think I saw a pattern somewhere online but I cant remember the website. CO 24 Row 1: Knit Row 2: Knit Row 3: *K2, P2* Repeat to end of row ending with P2 Row 4: *P2, K2* Repeat to end of row ending with K2 Row 5: *K2, P2* Repeat to end of row ending with P2 Row 6 & 7: Knit Repeat rows 3-7 or this pattern till you get to your desired length and cast off on Knit row. To add fringe, I wrapped the yarn around a DVD case and cut it. Then used an H size crochet hook to pull through the loops on both ends of the scarf.
